A Message for New Members
We wish to welcome you as a new member of our special community. Every day the staff and committed volunteers are hard at work continuing to develop and plan inspiring programs, entertaining social events and engaging in acts of community kindness that members are all so privileged to benefit from.
The Forest Hill Jewish Centre offers something for everyone including:
- A beautiful social hall and rooftop terrace to celebrate weddings, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, bris, & baby naming ceremonies
(For the kids we have) weekly Shabbos programs, awesome Chanukah and Purim parties, mom & tot music classes, challah bakes & so much more - (For adults we have) parenting workshops, marriage classes, women's breakfast lectures & sisterhood events, golf, scotch & cigar evenings, football games, & inspiring learning
The Forest Hill Jewish Centre truly is a unique environment where Jewish life flourishes, where people are made to feel welcome and have the opportunity to be part of a warm, family-oriented community.
Membership Benefits Include the Following:

Ability to make a bar or bat mitzvah on Shabbos

Access to rabbinic counseling and pastoral services at no cost

Reduced rates for hall and room rentals

High Holiday seating in the main sanctuary for members and their children between 10 and 21 years

Members can access High Holiday tickets for visiting extended family members

Interment rights at time of need
If you are still uncertain, we offer a one-year trial membership at a significantly reduced rate of only $500 (plus $175 Security Fee) so that you are able to experience all that the Forest Hill Jewish Centre has to offer before making a more permanent commitment. The membership committee has worked hard to ensure that our rates are fair and comparable with other synagogues in Toronto.
