VOLUNTEER/CHEsSED FOR TEENS

The FHJC is a place where community members actively work to help those who are less fortunate. Every Purim and Pesach, the Centre raises thousands of dollars to help needy Jewish families in Toronto and Israel. The FHJC also joins with the JNF each year, planting 100 trees in Israel and taking an active part in UJA’s annual Walk With Israel.

Teens have the opportunity to gain community service hours by helping with various programs.

  • Shabbat Youth Program
  • High Holiday Youth Program

Become a part of a community that comes together to help those in need.

jsu friday night dinner

Friday Night June 15, 2018, thirty-five Jewish girls from Bishop Strachan School, an Anglican private school in Forest Hill (BSS) attended a beautiful Shabbat meal which was organized by the JSU presidents- Geri Cynamon, Perry Albert, Eden Rottenberg and Victoria Valentine on the picturesque rooftop of the Forest Hill Jewish Center.

It was so special to see the Jewish girls in this school come together to uphold the love and beauty of their Jewish identity.
