HAMENTASHEN BAKE RECIPE AND INGREDIENT LIST
DOUGH INGREDIENTS
Cream together ¾ cup oil and 1 cup sugar
Then add: 2 eggs, mix well until very creamy
Then add 4 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt, ¼ cup orange juice, zest of 1 orange (optional) 2 tsp lemonjuice, 1 tsp vanilla.
Roll, fill and shape into hamentaschen.
Bake at 350F(175C) for 15 minutes
Poppy Seed (mun) filling
1 cup poppy seeds
½ cup honey
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Special Equipment
A spice mill or a mortar and a pestle
